After Gambit placed second in their group, defeating OpTic and Cloud9, the CIS-based team went on to beat GODSENT in a narrow series before taking the title over Renegades.
Abay "HObbit" Khassenov was given the HLTV MVP by ZOWIE award following a great showing from one of the newest additions of Gambit. The 22-year-old placed in the top five of multiple charts, including rating (1.21, 2nd), damage difference per round (+16.3, 1st), kills per round (0.82, 2nd), and deaths per round (0.63, 4th).
